I read another article on CNN.com called "Missing mom's body was found by railroad tracks" (Scary) any way.. this lady was planning on divorcing her husband, so she went and stayed at a friends house so she wouldnt have to argue with him. One day when she was suppose to be getting back to her friends house, she never arrived. they called the police to look for her, and they found her truck only a couple miles from her house, and a couple days later they found her body by rail road tracks.. because of the looks from her head and neck the police suspected her death as a homocide.
I read an article on CNN.com called "Lobbyist linked to McCain Sues NY times" this lady Vicki Iseman is sueing new york times for $27 million, because she says that they "damaged her carreer and 'sense of personal self worth' " NY times was saying that she "falsly intimited that she had an affair with the senator to gain perks for her clients. They said that their relationship was ethical, professional and appropriate, but McCain denies the relationship.. i dont know if she got the $27 million, but i think she did... lol
i read an aritlce on wcco.com called "Boy, 11, Arrested For 'Gangster' Game Shooting" him and his 8 year old brother were playing a game called "gangster" with a gun they had found in their grandma's car. the older brother, 11, accidently shot his younger brother, 8, in the chest. the younger brother's wounds are not life threatening. as told by one of the police men. in the end the grandmother was charged for not keeping a deadly weapon secured, and the mother was recently sentanced to 4 years in jail for beating them ith an ax this past july.
i read an article on CNN.com about a military jet crash that killed 3 people who were in their own home!!!! there were two adults and an infant :[ the jet crashed into about 20 houses but only 2 of them were burned. this was in San Diego California.they didnt even know what was going on cause it seemed so surreal said one of the officers..this is scary to think about that a jet could actually crash land into your own house!!!!!!
i started reading the book twilight, about 2 1/2 weeks ago. i kinda quit reading it, because i got bored of reading it. im not a reading kind of person. i thought it was good and i really liked it, but it was just starting to seem boring to read, just cause im not a reader. it was really really reallly rally realy really really reall yreally really really good at first, and it still is good, even though i havent read in like almost 2 weeks...... but any way i hope to start reading it again, and liking it even more!! i've heard its reallllllyyyyyy good, and that im almost to the good part. so far bella has only moved to forks, met some new friends, obsessed with edward, and .. yeahh... i hope to keep reading it!!
i recently read an article on startribune.com about a seriously injured drunk driver after speeding full speed ahead from the cops. he was SERIOUSLY injured and thrown out of his car. he was suposedly driving 100 miles per hour, and hit a curb, went flying, hit a stop sign and a large park sign. the chase began in crystal and ended in golden valley. the driver was brought to north memorial medical center to be taken care of.
I read a story from the book scary stories to tell in the dark.... it was called the wreck, a girl and a guy went to there school winter dance, they had never met before until this night, and they got together and danced. The girl, Jeanne, asked him to bring her home. so he did. she told him that she had hit a tree with her car on the way there so she didnt have a way home. once they got close to her house she said she would walk from there because the raod ahead was in bad condition. so he let her out there, and he asked her to a movie, so she said sure, he gave her some string stuff from the party and put it in her hair, and she left. then he realized he hadnt had her phone number to call her. so he turned around thinking the road couldnt be to bad. and then he was a car crushed agaisnt a tree with smoke and a person stuck between the wheel and the seat, it was the girl who he had just been with, and she had the string in her hair still. AAAHHH!!! that would have been scarryyyyy!!
I read an article about an innocent 15 year old boy who was shot to death in his own house at about midnight. he was staying up to see his mom once she got home from work, and while he was standing out on the porch he was shot. another teenager was just shot a few days before in the twin cities area also while he friend was showing him a gun. His mother just cant beleive he is gone, she was saying just how perfect he was and how much she loved him, and will miss him. On sunday evening the police were searching for Alfredo Gonzalez, the suspect. he wasnt found.
I just started a book called "cut" it seems good so far. but i just started. its about a girl who cuts herself. and she is in a place to help her. there are many other girls there with other issues, like belemia, anorexia, obesity, and drug use. All the girls are shy, or just dont like talking about thtere issues. they have group meetings with the programs therapist. some of the characters so far are; Becca [the main character], Tara, Sydney [Becca's room-mate], Claire, Debbie, and a few more. I cant wait until i get farther into the book and see what happens! i usually dont like reading. so hopefully i will get into this book and enjoy reading it. Well im gonna go read now!! :) lol. so far i would recamend this book, and what i've heard about it makes it seem really good!!
I read an article online. About a women who tried killing her disabled sister... According the the article a women tried killing her 52 year old disabled sister. She was charged for attemptive murder, arson, and elder abuse for allegedly torching her apartment. The sister wasnt hurt. I dont know why she tried killing her sister. and the article didnt say. This is a very sad situation. sisters are suppose to be like best friends. no matter what they look like, or how different they are. but not to these sisters. apparently one of them doesnt really like the other one. which is sad. i dont have a sister. but a couple people in my life seem like sisters to me, and i couldnt imagine ever wanting to kill them, or them wanting to kill me.

[This poem is a good artifact for gymnastic heroes becuase in order to be a good gymnast you have to be strong, which corresponds to "iron and steel" and during competitions/performances/etc. you have to have grace and beauty in all your moves, and keep a smile on your face.]

All these artifacts are different. there is a poem/photo/video/and a link to a few gymnastic heros. Lori Strong was a hero in Canada. she got 4 gymnatics gold metals. and even after falling and fracturing her leg she didnt quit, and kept going and didnt listen to the doctors so she could make it to the competition. The poems are good examples towards gymnastics, and what a true gymnastics hero might be like.
CONCLUSION Boy gymnasts and girl gymnast heroes. out of the ones i found on a site. there were more male gymnast heroes than girl. maybe this means that more boys are dedicated to gymnastics then girls are.
I read a few peoms from a book that is just poems for daughters to read. and the poems are written by mothers to there daughters or about there daughters. My mom gave me this book a couple years ago. and i enjoyed reading it, it reminded me of good and bad memories i have had in my life. Some of these poems kinda made me realize how much mothers appreciate there children, and that they cant be compared to any thing else.
I read an article online about halloween. This article talked about how people spend so much time and money on halloween. Some people spend hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars every year just for parties, costumes, decorating, or just to have halloween spirit. Alot of people do this for many holidays, but halloween is one of the biggest spending holidays on parties/decorations, etc. costumes are even expensive. $40-$60 plus accesories??? thats alot. and its only for one night. cause you cant be the same thing 2 years in a row.. well you can. but who really wants to? its crazy how much money people spend these days. and how much people could be saving if they didnt spend all there money on things that wont be needed in the future, or if they arent even gonna touch it again. after reading this article i realized that why waste your money on things for the present. when you can buy things that will be useful in the present and future.
I read an article online. about worlds smallest kids. they are called "... dwarfs" (i forgot the name) and there are only approximently one hundred of them in the world. it is very rare. and you can only get this is there is a certain jean that both parents have. They go through alot of trouble in there life. This article was specifically about this one girl. and she had to get this one surgery done becasue her neck and spine grew unnormally compared to an average person. All dwarfs have to get this done some time in their life. and its alwasy better when your younger. and that is one reason why they are so short. some are born at the height of 12 inches and like 2 pounds!
I read a few chapters from the book called "a child called it" by Dave Pelzer. this is a very sad book. and it made me realize that child abuse is a big problem in this world. at this very moment there could be a child being physically abused by a parent. how could those parents live knowing that they abused there child. any way.. in this chapter it the mom was abusing her son,she was forcing him to lie on the stove so she could watch him burn, because she saw him playing in the grass during recess at school. one of his mom's rules was that playing on the grass was forbiddin. Finally his brother came home, and the mom had lost the "fight" and he was safe from the burning. he was still abused my his mom. This is a true story.
I read an article on startribune.com about the twins. They just played a game against the Chicago white socks. This was a very important game.They were not off to a good start, the Twins were hitless for the first four innings. but it didnt get any better from that. if they won it would be good! even though it is always good if they win.. but this article talked about the game and kinda things that went wrong that caused them to loose 1-0 . And how now the white socks will go farther into the season. while this was the twins last game of the season. :[ Since the Chicago white socks won, now both Chicago teams are in. (white socks & Cubs)
Two of the important characters from animal dreams[by Barbara Kingsolver] are Hallie and Codi. They are Sisters. These two characters have alot of similarities, and also alot of differences. For example; some of their similarities would be; They are both daughters of Homero. ["He wathces his daughters, though there's nothing to watch..."]page:4 Also they both had to wear orthopedic shoes when they were younger, because their father made them. Another reason why they were similar is becuase they are both so tall. Those are just some reasons why they are so similar. Codi and Hallie also have many differences. For example; Codi had a miscarage, and Hallie has never had a baby or almost had a baby. Also Codi is more to herself, while Hallie is more adventerous and out there. lastly Hallie is seen to be more attrative then codi, to most people. and Codi thinks that she is very unattractive. These are just some of many reasons why Codi and Hallie have so many similarities and differences.
recently i read an article in the startribune news paper. This article was about the twins. they werent doing so good, one of the pitchers even faced 12 batters and 9 of them made it to base. they lost 5 games in a row. and they were tired of this. They thought that it was becuase the pitchers were tired, they said they might look tired, but they feel just fine. One game they even had 2 players that couldnt even make it through one inning. On thursday night they needed to take action. and they did, they won 11-8 agaisnt the tampa bay rays. The Twins manager says "i know they're young. We've been worried about that forever, but its still about giving us a chance. We cant continue going to our bullpen for six innings. These guys have to throw the ball."
One adjective that comes to my mind that would describe me would be independent. Some reasons why i know this about me is that i need to alot of things for myself, for example i have to make my lunches, make my own dinner, do my own laundry, and find my own way to most places. I usually bike every where i go in the summer, and in the winter i get rides from friends. I have to do all of these things because my dad works night shifts. some times its fun, and it is also a good thing because then i will learn to do things for myself and not depend on others. i am proud of who i am, and how independent i am.
